Easter meal ideas for kids

Looking for some food inspiration for the Easter long weekend that the kids will love? Look no further! We’ve compiled a list of ideas that are sure to be instant family favourites. Importantly, these recipes are quick and simple enough to get the whole family involved!

Healthy Easter Eggs

Cook some real (not chocolate!) eggs for your kids, fry them sunny side up, and use carrots and poppy seeds to create ducks and chicks.

Make-your-own Bunny Pizza Night

While it’s not a traditional Easter meal, making your own pizzas is perfect for a night in with the family over the Easter break. Try making the base from scratch and create bunny ears at the top of the pizza. Everyone can add their favourite toppings and topping with cheese. Our favourite toppings include ham, salami, mushrooms, capsicum and fresh basil, yum! Or… get creative and do dessert pizzas with Nutella!

Good Friday Fish Fingers

Good Friday doesn’t have to be challenging for fussy eaters with our quick and easy fish fingers! Take four firm, white fish fillets and cut into fingers. Combine 1 and a half cups of breadcrumbs with 1/3 cup of grated parmesan and the rind of one lemon. Beat one egg, dipping your fish fillets into the egg mixture and then the breadcrumb mix. Bake at 220°C for 10-15 minutes until fish fingers are cooked through and deliciously golden. Serve in a newspaper cone with tomato or tartare dipping sauce.

Bunny Everything

Give your kids a fun Easter lunch with bunny everything! Bunny shaped sandwiches, hard boiled bunny eggs, bunny vege shapes. A healthy Easter treat that they’re sure to love!
