The 90’s are having a moment

In case you haven’t noticed the 90’s are having a moment. Whether it’s the fashion or culture references, have you thought about revisiting some of the classics so you can pick up the 90 vibes? Look, even though we now have the remakes launching in the cinemas, we thought we’ll dive back into some of the 90s cult classics that we’ll be bingeing on film this month.

The original Matrix was released in ‘99 and was an immediate global hit. Sink into your lounge and watch Neo on his quest to find out ‘what is The Matrix’. As Mouse said in the original, "To deny our own impulses is to deny the very thing that makes us human". Don’t deny yourselves, rug up and join Neo on his search for ‘reality’.

Before you see Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette reunite in the new Scream, go back to the beginning with Sidney Prescott to where it all began. The ‘96 film saw extraordinary success by bringing life to slasher movies again. 25 years on we hope the new movie is as deliciously terrifying as the original!

jurassic park

The best part of ‘93 was Jurassic Park and the genetically engineered dinosaurs that had us gripping our seats with white knuckles. “Hold onto your butts” and revisit one of the best originals of all. Each remake with new dinosaurs has us asking ‘what could possibly go wrong’

batman

Technically the original was released in ‘89 but how could we leave this favourite off our list? We don’t know what we loved more. Tim Burton’s gritty take on Gotham City or Prince’s soundtrack.
“You wanna get nuts? Come on! Let’s get nuts."

The new flick has just been released this month in Australia, but make sure you watch the original first!
